In terms of how much you think they’d charge me you got any idea as the booking history only goes for the past 2 weeks as before that I was using my little cousins Oyster card but I wasn’t caught with it and returned it to my little cousin

Well you know how many times you have done it since you stopped using the Oyster card. Take the Anytime Single fare, multiply it by the number of individual journeys (so twice for a return) and then add £150 for administration costs. You won’t be far off the answer then if they choose to look at your online history.

That’s a good move. You can tell them in due course. It’s something that shows you’ve changed your ways and taken steps to legitimise your tickets.

If you actually meant you were thinking of buying one, that would be an excellent idea. You could make a note of the Railcard’s number and quote it in your letter of apology as evidence you are aware of the seriousness of your previous actions and that you intend paying for ALL of your journey in future, with a legitimate discount applied.

I have bought the railway card and I’m using it today on the way to work. Hopefully SWR don’t prosecute me and allow me to pay the off court settlement as I’m changing my ways

They're unlikely to look at your Oyster Card use - but we can't be certain that they won't.

In any case, you've already used the Oyster Card, so there's nothing you can do about it right now. When the railway write to you, read the letter very carefully (and it could be a good idea to share it with us, making sure you have hidden your name and personal details) and that will let you know whether you need to worry about the Oyster Card.

Dont forget there is a minimum fare of £12 restriction on the 16-25 railcard before 10am, so if you are travelling before then, you need to be careful.

Unlikely to be this week. They have a lot of fare dodgers to work through, and they will do so in order, so you just have to wait until they reach your case. Could be weeks, could be months. But should be less than 6 months, as that is the time limitation to start prosecution proceedings against you if you don't cooperate.

At the risk of repeating what has already been said, provided you cooperate they should offer you a settlement. Usually they want to hear from you first, but we do see instances where the initial letter includes a settlement offer.

Both a short ticket and not having a railcard then. You don't usually get credit for what's already been paid, so if they ask for an out of court settlement it would be based on the undiscounted anytime fares from wherever they think or you admit to travelling from.

A Travelcard is a type of season ticket AIUI, as opposed to a Railcard - if that helps to clarify why you are being asked here.
