Obviously I have an interest in trains, trams and certain point buses, other wise I wouldn't here. I am keen to find out more about UK and Europe rail, especially the London Underground, Eurostar, TGV's etc.

I currently work in Public Service for the Victorian State Government in Melbourne, in the Department of Innovation, Industry and Regional development.

But in a few weeks I will be finishing up here for a job change, but I have made the decision that this time next year I want to Immigrate to England, where I have dual citizenship.

lol haha, good old Rolf, as shocked as it might seem, i don't really watch Neighbours or Home and Away, but one of my friends works on the set of Neighbours. And as for Fosters, I do like beer but the South Australian Coopers beer is much better!

Hi All. Hope you dont mind here to introduce myself. I'm Stuart, 33 and currently taking my assessments for National Express Train driver. This will be the second time I have sat them. As like last year I have passed all of my assessments but last year failed on the structured interview. Yet again I am at the same stage this year. My structured interview is this Fri 4th July. I have read many articles on how to best "cope" with this interview and would really value any advice you can give to help me through this difficult time lol. Hi, I am Mr Alex or Alexander Martin-brown on WNXX or amartinbrown on Freightmaster, so some of you may already know me.
I am currently at Cuthbert Mayne 6th form (going on year 13) in Torquay Devon studying Photography, Geography and Media Studies.
I like railways/trains obviously, and reguarly go out to photograph them mainly at Freight Hotspots such as Newport, Eastleigh, Ipswich etc...!
So yeah, there is loads more I could tell you about but to save you reading an essay I've done this small one.

Because some people have great offence caused to them by having their historical location absorbed by some faceless entity that means they could in fact live 100 miles away from where they do as far as the rest of the country is concerned.

They tried to call the West Midlands as far as Telford (which is nowhere near Birmingham!!) Greater Birmingham, and the people of the Black Country, Staffordshire, Shropshire and Wolverhampton who objected basically killed that one out right, having already had this rubbish with the West Midlands County.

There's a lot of local pride around here that probably comes from the general opinion of the area from outside and lumping everywhere together with Birmingham did not get a positive response.

There's more to the West Midlands and surrounding area than that concrete dump.

I thought it was based on postcodes - I don't think NW stretches as far as Ruislip. For example Croydon is referred to as Surrey - the postcodes around there are all prefixed with CR. Most places in Zones 5 & 6 fall under the Home Counties anyway.

I'm proud of living in Greater London, I'm a city kid through and through 8)
