interview with south west

Hi all

Have recently had an assessment with South West Trains for the position of gateline assistant and was successful.
I have been informed that they will be interviewing me at some stage,I'm just wondering how they will be contacting me is it via email or letter or both and also what is the average waiting time to be contacted after passing the assessment ?
Anyway looking forward to the interview and hopefully I'll be successful.

Alright mate they will either phone you or send you a letter. Normally interview will be 2 weeks from when you get letter but can vary. What location have you gone for?

Firstly congratulations...

I was notified via letter with a location, date and time. They also include free travel on that letter so you can travel to your interview location.

Do SWTs ever advertise driver positions? I have been keeping an eye on their vacancies for about two years now and never seen a driver position on there.

No they don't bud as there's a waiting list which is 6 years plus. Internal staff can apply but we have also got to wait in the waiting list. Try phoning SWT recruitment and ask about it. If you don't ask you don't get lol and you got nothing to lose!!

Thanks for the Advice much appreciated at the time of writing this still waiting for a date for interview however my assessments were only a few days ago on the 20/3/15 so it's not been too long.

Have a good one whatever yr doing and all the best.

Is that six years for trainee positions or qualified driver positions too?

You should get a letter fairly soon, mine took roughly a week to arrive after the assessment. There was a week between my letter arriving and the date of my interview, so plenty time to prepare.
