i am going for an interview on thursday as a rail technician, what sort of questions will i be asked? What should i wear? What is the pay likely to be?
This will probably entail some questions about yourself, what you know about the role, transferable skills, either non technical skill or competency based questions and definitely a health and safety one.
You've left it a bit late! As already said, safety first, matching your own skills and experience to the competency set they require and evidence of technical skills. And wear a suit!?!?

Safety is the most important in this industry. But you must also demonstrate your team playing skills as working part of a team. Also if you can show your are disciplined eg lol your mates want you to go to the pub lol.
Following rules and procedures is a must. Also you may get asked a question like if you see two of your colleagues having a dispute what will you do.
Good luck
