Interview TPE customer service role

Hi again guys just had my telephone interview for customer service and revenue protection at Huddersfield with TPE, I thought I did ok and it went well but you never know with these interviews I like to see people face to face and see their eyes.

Hope I can get through, still my dream to be a conductor but its a foot it the door, will let you know if I get through all>

Anyone know what the next stage will be if get through will it be like the conductor process?

also any of you work for TPE, any tips or advice

Hello Paul, I believe we might have met in June at the Interview for Northern Rail Conductor? We where sat next to eachother in the reception area talking before we went in.

Keep trying and you will get there mate! Dont give up.

As for your current position with First I am sure they will get in touch and inform you of the next step, Fingers crossed you will progress to the next step.

Still not had email from TPE for above role, got back to me same day when I had phone interview for conductor role?

Still dreaming of the conductor role but this would be a nice foot in the door...

Hi Paul, I think you will hear back shortly. I have personally gone for a conductor role with TPE previously and was told I would hear something within a few days but didn't. They do seem a bit slow on contacting people about their applications but I'm sure you'll have done fine =).

Thanks a lot, yeah im hoping so this is the only industry I want to get into, will keep trying but it gets so frustrating and im confident I can be good for a company.

Are you working for a TOC now then? or still trying to get on?

Hang on in there mate TPE are pretty slow with their recruitment process. It took me 6 months from applying with them to actually starting, but it was well worth the wait

appreciate advice, checking my emails on a daily and hourly basis hoping for some good news this time, what job role are you in mate? are they a good company to work for?

I currently work for northern who I think are a good company to work for. I can completely understand your frustrations I was the same, but you'll get in there. The best thing is to do what you've done, go for a job to get your foot in the door and then after you've got the experience/got to know what the company is like go for the conductor job. Have you applied for a conductor job before? If so which company?

yes with tpe and just failed by couple of marks on last test, then went for conductor role with northern at Sheffield in june and passed interview with mangers and invited to test centre only to have call from northern recruitment team later saying I couldn't attend as only did tests with tpe 3 month earlier but tpe had told me could apply with different company, turns out was given bad advice by new starter

up side is northern have left test centre open for me from sept onwards and don't have to reapply just hoping some roles come up though, any ideas if will??? this is all I have ever wanted to do since school...

I can't say either way tbh, I presume so purely because there recruiting now for dates in Oct and for people in the talent pool so once those people are employed I think they will again. They recruited 6 months ago so hopefully it will be soon for you so you can apply. What area are you from? I think once you get in with a toc you'll find it easier to move to another, but your def doing the right thing by going for barriers and then looking to move into conducting. Was the test hard? What did you have to do?

yeah really hoping some roles come up end of year, really need this...

im from Barnsley and jobs were based at Sheffield station, did the tests with TPE back in march wouldn't say they were hard as such just the time limits and pressure etc, just missed out by 2 points was told on last one but since found out tpe have a higher scoring rate to pass as well so may have been enough at another TOC? gutted

waiting to here for RPI job at Hudds, nothing yet...

where you based ? what job you doing at the moment then?

yeah got email yesterday saying passed interview awaiting next stage, hope im not on holiday

really want this role but my main goal is to get on as a conductor... any advice if I get on with them VicLIne? do they recruit/train internally etc

Hi, I'm currently a Conductor for LM and have applied for the TPE roles at Manchester Airport, I have reached interview.

Can anyone tell me what the shift pattern and basic salary is please? As they are only recruiting for qualified Conductors I am hoping there will be no 'trainee' rate or period. The ad doesn't give a salary and I don't know anyone who works for First so have no idea what they pay.

Anyone help please?

I applied for Trainee Conductor at Glasgow last year. Took a fair bit of time, but after interview and assesments I got really good feedback but was put on hold for 6 months. Position was advertised in again recently (obviously my 6 months have passed), applied and was invited to take a telephone interview, which I thought went well....... thought wrong, knocked back?!?!? Asked for feedback, all they can tell me is the hiring manager re looks at application along with notes from telephone interview and decided not to progress. Frustrating as hell and more than a little confusing.

Interview was just last week mate. think it was advertised in March which I missed, then re-advertised in May.
