Hi everybody, Sorry if i am posting in the wrong area im new to the forum. So hello everyone.

I have been a regular visitor to your site and feel that there may be a real possibility that i can contribute more to it if i can get through the train interview which i have just been successfull in getting.

I have just been given the good news today that i have been succesfull in passing the assesments and have been invited for an interview next week.

I am on the verge of realising which to many of us is a childhood dream to become a train driver and im desperate not to mess up the interview stage.
Only problem is i have been in my current job 21 years and as such it has been a long time since i have been in an interview situation.

Would anyone on here be kind enough to point me in the right direction on the most appropriate areas that i should be researching.

I am currently working as a 'Control Room Operator' at The State Hospital in Carstairs. It is penitentiary for the criminally insane.

It is a very demanding job where safety and communication is paramount as is following very strict policies and working procedures.
I regularly work alongside all of the emergency services, and in my 20 years service here have also worked along side armed response units, and tactical teams

You clearly know the sorts of questions you are going to be asked based on this reply. If I were you I would write down a number of situations that you have been in that would ft with the questions you are going to be asked and trawl your memory for all of the details and write them down so that they become clear in your mind again. That way you are going to be confident in your answers and be able to communicate this effectively.

5. and soon to be the tinto centre...

thing is over the years, it has been known as all the above, but the purpose of the state hospital is to house patients of a criminally insane nature.
Run of the mill jails cannot cater for them because of mental illness, and hospitals cannot cater for them because they are very dangerous people.....most have commited very violent crime as well as taken lives.

Despite what its dressed up as in a title, i have been there 21 years now and feel qualified to name it as i have.
