Hi All,
This is my first post.
I have applied for a few posts within the rail industry but this is my first time past the post and I have an interview at Northern Rail for Alternative Transport Contract Manager.
Now the job advert didnt give a great deal away and I had just received a rejection email the day before for the Information Managers job, so was not expecting to get an interview for this one. I had also applied for the trainee train drivers intake with them but received the email like many others, that the post had been withdrawn to external candidates. I decided to try a different attack and apply for other job roles that may help me becoming a train driver internally.
What I would like, is any help/guidance on what maybe asked or what they will be looking for in the first interview, which is only going to last an hour and 15 minutes. So I dont expect there to be any of the 30 minutes presentations or tests that they have said may happen in the information pack.
I am expecting it to be customer serviced based but other that, I am not sure.
This is my first go at a career change and have worked for the Ministry of Defence as a Civil Servant for the last 8 years and before that in finance and served in the military.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
