InterRail One Country Pass - Ireland

I am intending to travel in Ireland using a single country Ireland pass. I travel on an Irish passport, resident in Northern Ireland - the UK (please no politics!)

Anyone any experience of what sort of supporting documentation is needed, so that I am not seen as 'travelling in country'. Is the ticket checking intense or straight forward?

InterRail is definitely not an area that I'm an expert on but doesn't the Ireland pass cover both the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland? In which case is someone who is resident in Northern Ireland actually eligible to use it as it could be deemed (purely for InterRail purposes!!!) that they're still travelling in their 'home' country as they're home is within the validity area of the ticket?

It states that it is only valid in the single country noted! But, on investigation further, it does indeed cover the island. So thanks for your advice!
I accept that 'Ireland' presents practical issues! and is so piddly small its not on anyones radar!

Interestingly it means that this is the only all Ireland ticket as neither Translink NIR or Irish Rail do cross border rambler tickets.!
