Eurail B.V. has unfortunately experienced a security breach within our systems that resulted in unauthorized access to customer data

The investigation is still ongoing. For Eurail and Interrail customers, our early review suggests that the data involved may include customer order and reservation information, including basic identity and contact details and, where provided, passport information. For DiscoverEU customers please refer to this statement.

Excerpt from that DiscoverEU link:

The Commission was informed that Eurail B.V. experienced a security breach within their IT systems. This breach resulted in unauthorised access to Eurail B.V. data, including personal data of participants in the DiscoverEU action, financed under the Erasmus+ programme. The European Commission takes this matter very seriously. An investigation to determine the full scope of the incident with Eurail B.V. and its potential impact is ongoing.

According to Eurail B.V., the identity and exact number of persons affected is unknown at this stage.

The Commission is closely following the ongoing investigation and working to ensure that all possible measures to mitigate the incident are taken."

I would recommend Raileurope.com for European seat reservations but their website seems pretty broken and I was forced to use Interrail...

I've used Rail Europe very recently, so please define "pretty broken".
Additionally, there's no single website that can book all reservations, so IMO the best advice is to use Seat61's pass reservation page as a guide.
