I'm having a real problem with this forum and certain other sites too (including the Chiltern Railways site) where after one or two page loads, subsequent links require seven to twelve clicks in order to work. This is on Virgin Media in Ashford, Kent. It's been like it for about eight hours now and as I mentioned over on another thread, VM are reporting widespread problems in South London for what it's worth.

Here's the word from Virgin Media:

Virgin Media said:
If you're calling having lost your internet connection since 5pm, we are currently experiencing a nationwide fault resulting in loss or intermittent loss of connection. Please do not change any of the settings on your router. You may need to power down your router for 5 minutes and then turn back on, one ore more times to re-establish your connection. Our engineers are working to resolve this issue as soon as possible. Virgin Media apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Nice to see their mention of Ore there.

Interesting... I've noticed the lack of response on this site but no other site; closing the browser window down then re-opening and coming back to the site always cures it for the rest of the session. I'm with Metronet, not VM, so that suggests it's something to do with the site rather than the ISP. Some minor scripting bug somewhere maybe?

My computer at work took 30 minutes to get from the home page to LDB...and then another half hour to get back to the home page about 12ish. My colleagues were annoyed as one wanted to watch WWE Raw on YouTube but couldn't.

All's good now. It returned to a "good service" at around 12 PM. ;)
