Basically, does anyone have any? I have found a couple of the 225 sets but none of the HST sets. Being as we will be spending a good few hours in one from Inverness to London it would be nice to have a look at one.

I believe they both have the same interior, apart from the seat layouts etc...

So from a piccture they will look similar.

HTH, probably not :)

I am hearing good things about the first class service north of Edinburgh, and looking at those shots it looks like it will be a comfortable ride.:D

Nice seats, most importantly with a handrest, and for a 1130 from KGX also tranquil, but a pity about the freebies (the mainstay of First Class travel ;)) in terms of catering - coffee/tea and double-pack biscuits. The fruit cake was very very good indeed though. A pity that at least the Darlington lounge didn't have them... But by coughing up there is of course a variety of trolley goods to fill the tummy, a chicken salad sandwich and a can of lager for a bit under 6 quid. But nice it was. Also the journey. ;)

And having a space in the carriage to stow away the wheelie part of the splittable large wheel bag is a plus.

Don't know what the much-vaunted GNER service level was like, but that must have been something apart. On the other hand, I've also enjoyed Virgin pendo 1st Class service and ambience immensely, so what do I know... :p

Didnt realise that the HSTs had the Mallard interior back in 2007:roll:

Not all of the HST fleet was done in 2007, a few were done in 2007 by GNER and then the rest of the fleet had the work completed by National Express.
