Interlaced track

Does anybody know of any locations in the UK that interlaced track is currently used?
Any photos?

there is also some on the NET near the forest, some on the great orme tramway, the national tramway museum at crich and at wirksworth station on the EVR. but I haven't found any photos of them yet.

Is there any point of having interlaced track? Because it seems to me that it is functionally equivalent to a section of single track.

The main advantage is that it avoids having to have points, therefore has no moving parts and thus is more reliable.

The disadvantage is that as there are no trap points, so the collision risk is higher.

Its useful where the trackbed isn't wide enough for double track, but as mallard has said, avoids moving pointwork parts

The section of track at the National Tramways Museum at Crich gets the trams in both directions under the Bowes-Lyons bridge which appears not to be quite wide enough to allow two cars to pass on ordinary double track.

The Boyne Bridge at Drogheda on the Belfast > Dublin main line used to be interlaced until fairly recently, but has now been relaid with conventional single track.

Somerhill, Strawberry Hill, Wadhurst and Mountfield tunnels on the Hastings line are all single line, but used to be double track, with limited clearance!
