Hail all! Long time no post! <D
I've been trying to stay off the web for a bit, hence why I havn't been on RailUK at all recently...But I though I'd stop by just to say hi and to share this little glitch that I came across whilst browsing the SWT website earlier this morning...

Looks like SWTs web development team might want to pay a little more attention to which server the links in their RSS feeds point to... ;)

Farewell...And if I don't see ye again beforehand; Have a joyous Yule! <D

This sort of thing can happen from time to time when webmasters are feeling a bit on the sleepy side...As the blanked-out URL might suggest, the links that I followed had actually led me to their web development server!

So whats the interesting link your viewing that on then, Death? ;)
I blanked it out mainly as common courtesy towards SWT...But if ye try loading the SWT RSS feed into a text editor (Look out for the RSS icon on their site), look carefully at the location the links within point to, follow one of those links, then click the "Home" banner at the top-left, ye'll get the same display that I did. ;)

By the looks of things though, the SWT test CMS displayed above runs off of the same databases as the main site, as both display exactly the same info and are updated at the same time. I presume that banner is mainly intended to prevent SWT staff from uploading data to the wrong CMS by mistake. :)

Just observed on the SWT dev page: said:
Disruption to servicesss between Salisbury and Exeter until at least Thursday 3 December
Looks like SWT have got Sméagol working on their news team, too!

Can't quite work out how to get it into a text editor - (company computers, you see z.z)... however, I did click the RSS link, then clicked the Advise for Rail enthusiasts bit, and that takes you onto their development site aswell..
