Interesting ebay stuff

Just wondered if this might be worth a shot, having just been idly browsing ebay as one does. Among all the usual guff, naff mugs and repro prints etc, every now and again something vaguely interesting crops up on there. So maybe a thread just for when somebody spots something a little out of the ordinary on there? Just a thought anyway.

I'll start, tonight there are some early (pre-TfL) Docklands bits on there, a hat and a jacket, and also a couple of Wessex Trains uniform bits; a t-shirt and a brand new jumper and tie. Makes a change from the usual BR uniform stuff. Happy bidding collectors!

Sounds about right. And reminds me of the old Travel Office in Havant which someone had converted into a Rave Office.

I always keep an eye out for useful items that might be helpful for work. My TOC a few years ago issued a rather good rucksack to it's guards. You still see a few of us with them floating about, plenty of space for everything and not like the hopelessly small ones they issue out now. How I'm suppose to get a set of flags, a bardic and a set of publications etc inside them I'll never know. I would bite someones arm off to get a hold of one!

They are still better than the stupid little things we get, by the time I have got my flask and (rather large) snapbox in it there is no room for all the other stuff I am supposed to carry. :lol:

The worst I have seen one of the new guards bags last was when a guard was given a new one, went in the locker room to swap all his stuff over, picked the new bag up and the strap snapped, he didnt even walk one pace with it.
Now that is a "quality" item! :lol:

On my old guards bag the straps are getting rather thread bare at the bottom so I think I will pay to have the straps re-done, even if it cost £20 or £30 that is money well spent in my eyes.

It'll be removed from bidding as soon as e-bay get the notification, or whoever selling it might find it bought by FGW themselves, so they have the name and address of whoever is selling stolen property ;)

Why do people think its okay to sell stuff which is company property?
PS anyone got a BR drivers shirt (15.5in neck) I could beg/borrow/buy off them please. :lol:

Indeed. I would think historical items, bearing the names of companies who no longer exist, is probably passable. But current stuff is just plain silly.
