I’ve had the disappointnent of having to get an azuma up to Aberdeen from London in First in summer, any idea of what to expect, the silver lining is that the way back involves an IC225 for a decent chunk of the journey

Edinburgh to York and return this week, second class down first return.

down to York was OK seats uncomfortable after Newcastle but I am late 70’s and not enough padding in nether regions so felt uncomfortable after two hours.

This will have been a class 8xx so the seats are uncomfortable after a length of time.
