I remember watching a documentary on youtube about the intercity 125 that contained a drivers eye from london paddington to bristol. the first half of that video is on youtube on the Trains TrainsTrains youtube channel found here:
I’ve been trying to find the whole video for quite some time to no avail, was wondering if anyone here knows of it’s existence.

Hmm, looks like a mixture of Eastern & Western Region shots; not seen this video before. I'm sure someone released London to Bristol as a cab ride commercially - could have been Railscene, which will probably still be available on DVD somewhere, or perhaps try Video125?

I think the DVD you are referring to is called Intercity 125 the need for speed by videoscene. Has a speeded up cab ride from London to Bristol which does the whole lot in about 2 minutes.

Do you have any clips of this specific sped up drivers eye? that would be very helpful.

Does anyone know what the calling patterns were for IC125 services when they started? Apparently HSTs used to do London-Swansea in 2h48m. Not quite the right topic of this forum but just asking

Many of the Swansea trains were fast throughout the day from Paddington running non stop to Newport. Some were fast to Bristol Parkway.
On the Bristols they too were fast to Reading or Swindon then Bath and Temple Meads only. There also was a stopping service to Temple Meads. First stop Slough.
Lot of the trains had a full restaurant service as well as a hot dishes to order buffet service.

The title shot of the video look's like the bank where l used to train spot in the early seventies, namely Ruscombe. It's so overgrown now with brambles you cannot see the trains after metal fencing was put up they they completely covered it.
