Hi, having just recieved a copy of Rail Simulator in the post today from Play.com i am not happy. I cant get the game to install at all. I enter the CD key found on the manual, and then a cmd box pops up for a split second and then nothing, im just sat staring at the deaktop. Computer is only a month old and runs Windows Vista Home Premium. I have tried running the setup file from the CD instead of letting auto run but still nothing, and i have disabled any firewall and anti virus software.

Tried opening the setup.exe as "Administrator"? If the icon has the Shield sign then press your right mouse button and use the "Run as Administrator" option.
I've had it installed on Vista Ultimate (x64) before, but switched it back to my XP partition as the performance was far worse under Vista...

Are you on www.railsimulator.com forum?, The Heads of RS can help you there, I think it may have to do with the computers settings, as it might have something to do with that andym77 said.
