Hi,
Just joined the forum!
I am planning a trip to India this autumn, to ride the trains, and would appreciate any help or advice from anyone who has visited there ?
I would especially like any "tips" on reasonable hotels or places to eat when off the main tourist destinations... Any other help, such as good routes/connections will help me to broaden my options.

I am 63, retired, so probably won't be considering any Everest side trips!
