Incident on ECML affecting trains to Kings Cross (1/5)

My wife's train to London kings cross had been cancelled at Doncaster due to line closure (1519 arrival). Does anyone have suggestions for the 'easiest' route to get to London?

The problem appears to be near Stevenage. Check ticket acceptance, but heading to Sheffield may be quicker than trying to fight her way into Peterborough for a train to Cambridge.

EDIT: Have looked and entire section south of Ally Pally is at red, trains are being spun at Potters Bar. I'd definitely suggest trying to get to Sheffield if possible.
