Yesterday at about 23:30 i was waiting on the Southbound Northern Line platform at Warren Street for my train back to London Waterloo. After about one minute of waiting on the platform an Inspector Sands announcement came on followed by an evacuation announcement (on constant repeat) telling everyone to leave the station. About one minute after leaving the station around eight Police Cars arrived and the station staff shut the station gates to stop anyone entering.
Everyone at the station was saying different things had happened. One person said there was a fire on the track. One person said someone committed suicide and jumped in front of a train. One person said a drunk person fell on to the track. So i dont really know who was correct. Whatever happened it was either on the Northbound Northern Line platform or the Northbound Victoria Line platform or the Southbound Victoria Line platform.
As a result of this i was almost an hour late getting to London Waterloo for my train home (by that time i missed the last train so had to make my way to London Victoria and go home a different way).
Does anyone know what actually happened?
