Incident at Guildford 16 Mar

Am on 1P63 - 19:30 Waterloo to Portsmouth Harbour. Before leaving Waterloo an incident (person hit by a train) at Guildford was announced, so diversion via Eastleigh and stops only at Woking and Fratton. Now re-diverted at Surbiton via Guildford New Line. Anyone out there know what's happening?

Looks like we are back on route from Guildford - so maybe less of a problem that it first seemed.

A train has hit a person between Woking and Guildford, and as a result, trains are unable to travel between Woking and Guildford via Worplesdon. Trains will be diverted to run via Cobham and Stoke D'Abernon, or via Eastleigh and Hedge End.

Thanks Suraggu. Could have looked that up myself but SWT wifi is distinctly intermittent and battery is nearly flat! Sorry for those directly involved.

Pompey Direct not having much luck last two days. Yesterday punctuality was decimated by someone threatening to jump, and today this.

Left Guildford 22 late - not nearly as bad as it could have been. Give thanks for alternative routes (those we have left). Not sure how others are faring. Hard to tell from RTT but it looks as though a couple of down services were diverted via Hedge End and then the diversion via Oxshott/Claygate kicked in.

Once they realised where the incident was and got half of Guildford recharged, they appear to have started the New Line diversion.

Really the only people who are stuffed are those on either 1P59 (which appears to be the incident train judging from traksy) or those at Worplesdon, where it's cabs!

I dodged that one. Was on the Haslemere terminator, the train before the incident train...
