My sentiments exactly. Given the age of the girl, the possibility of illicit substances being used and the lack of information about their backgrounds, it's probably better not to comment in any case.

I don't think there's much that can be said of this. The report says they had no previous convictions, so what a sad way to see that lost...

I have to say though, some of the comments people have posted (on the Daily Record site) are disgraceful.

This story was in the Scottish Sun t'other day. I've just come back from a week in Hamilton. Plastered all over the front pages, manipulative interviews with both parties, the works.

Why is this news, really? Does it affect anyone outside of the affected parties? Is there a risk to the public? It's real Jeremy Kyle "Look at these people and pour scorn on them" freak show journalism.
