My nearest station is Carstairs (CRS) and this morning I happened to be dropping off my other half to go to GLC at 8am. I checked the National Rail website station departures before leaving home to make sure the 08:11 to GLC (starts back at EDB) was on time and not cancelled. All was fine, but it caught my eye that there was an 08:17 Plymouth service from platform 2 operated by XC. Thought to myself, oh didn't know XC had restarted serving CRS, that's a handy train for a trip to Edinburgh...
At the station the screens showed next south/eastbound dep as 10:31 ScotRail train.
Turns out that 1V56 07:48 GLC - PLY doesn't call at CRS at 08:17 at all - it's non-stop. Despite what 'live departures' says. Is the inaccuracy of National Rail live departures common, or an issue elesewhere?
