In Talent Pool but moving to different area

Hope someone has been in this situation and can assist.
I am currently in the talent pool since September waiting for a relatively small station. However, it is likely I will be relocating to the north east shortly with my husbands job.
Would it help my case if I emailed HR and asked about possibility of changing to Newcastle? After reading some of the posts, I am losing hope of being taken on at a later date but hopefully a bigger station may help?

Where is the small station located and what role did you apply for? I'm in a talent pool for a relatively small station myself and have been since September for a conductor role.

If your going to live somewhere that's more than an hours drive away from where your moving to I would advise contacting HR, bigger station will mean more opportunities due to higher staff turnover.

If it's not a necessity to move I would suggest holding on if your in the northern pool as they have been recruiting of recent and will be choosing people for the January courses soon in Yorkshire.

Thats only my opinion, others may differ.
