Hi everyone.
I'd like to introduce a brand new site for anyone interested in modern transport imaging. Whatever your experience as a railway photographer, there's almost certain to be some new information for you at Improve Your Transport Photography. Those who'd like to find out more about about digital processing (from easy, one-click routines using free editing suites, to the most advanced techniques) will find themselves particularly well catered for. You won't need Photoshop, or any specific editing suite. Just the time and the desire to take your photography further. The non-digital elements of rail photography are covered too, so I'm sure there'll be something for everyone.
Improve Your Transport Photography is a free, no-strings site, which is set to grow rapidly. Everyone has access to all of the editorial content tutorials, articles, photos, etc. And quality control is, in my own (admittedly biased) view, on a par with the best national magazines. The site is fairly small at present, having been under development for just about a month, and only having gone public earlier today(!) But updates will be very regular, and I genuinely believe you'll continue to find material and information you can't get anywhere else. You can already explore topics such as digitally 'repainting' a loco, reliable colour correction for old media, combatting the dreaded 'dark loco front' in mere seconds, digitally recomposing a shot-gone-wrong... Plus there are some Ideas Galleries for anyone who fancies trying a new approach. So come and be one of the very first visitors. You'll be most welcome. Here's the link to the homepage...
