I am looking to purchase some parts for my classic motorcycle from a seller in the USA, I am trying to calculate what duties, taxes etc I would have to pay but am struggling to get a definitive answer.
I was wondering if any forum members have experience of this type of transaction.
The item I want is classed as new/refurbished, its cost is $38 plus $30 postage which, at todays exchange rate is a little over £50.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You won't have to pay import duty for a value less than £135. You will have to pay standard 20% VAT on the total amount including shipping.

Plus any customs handling charges which are often more than the VAT
