It has recently been announced impala are to close their milford haven storage and distribution site.

This would bring an end to the once daily, now less frequent freight services by DB to robeston.

This will be sad to see, but could this be an opportunity for further improvements in connectivity?
COMMERCIAL operations at Milford Haven’s Impala terminal will cease at the end of December 2026, the company has confirmed to The Pembrokeshire Herald.

Am I correct in thinking that Impala is the most recent rebranding of the former Puma / Murco / Amoco terminal at Milford Haven?

Importing diesel from the states is not a good business to be in currently....

[DBC and Touax are being sued by NR for Llangennech.]

It is interesting that some countries have a lot of diesel in store, in fact Germany, France and Italy enough for 90 days. The UK has 42 days. If the US decides to restrict exports, we have a problem.

That would be correct.

I do hope the government has a plan for that instance as trains and buses will become very important.

I am sure that the Government will extol the benefits of electric vehicles. But will there be stuff in shops.

France, Germany and Italy don't have 900 days supply. They have between 60-90 depending on how the figures are worked out.

Storing 900 days worth of diesel would also be fairly pointless, as it would go bad before then.
