Yup! I am but one - DP2 was the only one of its type. Father of many - the 50 class 50s. Nearly the father of many more - the aborted class 51s. Look like something I don't - splitting image of a deltic. Over to you!

FURTHER CLUE- The larger version of me is cleared for only 1 line. I was used as a trial on Sundays on this line

Hopfully quick enough...

I'm a small class based on a much larger class, have never carried passengers but have operated under 4 different companies.

Nope, the smaller class is based on the larger... Another clue for you, I use the front ends from a completely different class to what I'm based on...

I couldn't run on most of the network, I was among the first to have a now-common feature and I never carried TOPS set numbers.

Class 80 / E2001?

The first UK 25kv AC loco and I think one of the first locos to be ETH fitted.
