2) I have a Brush traction package.
3) When I was built I had 2+2 and 2+1 seating, now I only have 3+2 seating.

2) Brush TM2141B traction motors.

3) Refurbished by Hunslet-Barclay at Kilmarnock between 2005-2007 with removal of original low density 2+1 and 2+2 with 3+2 high density seating for First Scotrail.

Next... Anyone know what this train is?

Thomas was based on an LB&SCR E2 class . open floor .

This currently-operating unit has several relatives and operates for only one TOC. It has a unique feature among its family and a different external appearance to the vast majority of other train this TOC operates. Among its family, it is the longest.

171s are not the longest in their family (which includes Electrostars remember ).

On that basis, I have to accept the answer 444 - which is correct.

I'm slightly shorter than a 319 but have twice as many motor vehicles, I also make use of AC motors where 319s do not. Even with this, it is expected that 319s may replace me on one or two of my routes, where I am unlikely to work in multiple other than on ECS or Specials.

They were partly fitted out in Wakefield, but the rest was assembled in Belgium.
