This station had two platforms, then one, now two again. In recent years all trains have stopped there apart from one(?) year when one ran through non stop. From the next timetable one train will originate there - for the first time at least in recent years.

I'll add another clue later if it's not immediately guessed.

Charlbury ?

I think Honeybourne used to have more than two platforms anyway

Yes - Charlbury.

The additional clue/point in common was going to be a description of the elaborate footbridge that has been built at both to serve the new/reopened platforms. At Charlbury in particular it resembles one of those water slides in a fun park and seems to twist over half the car park

Oh, I didn't expect to get that !

Right.

This 4 platformed station was built on a junction in the early 1990s. A previous station of similar name very nearby had closed in the 1950s. It is served by 2 TOCs, one of which is 1tph, the other several more frequent services, and at least one other TOC passes through without stopping. It is not electrified

OK try this one

This station has two platforms and is the sole survivor of three that once served its town

Trains from two TOCs pass through, but only one of them stops

The trains are mainly DMUs (don't ask me what sort, that's too technical for me...) but there is the odd loco hauled and HST service

I'll leave it there for now.
