I'm thinking of a station...

This station is not electrified

Is this proving too hard for you people ?

I would have thought it was pretty easy. After all there aren't too many sections of 3 track line in the country. A quick browse through Quail or Track Atlas should get it almost immediately !

Oh. How nice. See if you can get two of mine in a row :)

As has been the case for many years, virtually all traffic through this station is passengers-only, with a very minimal freight offering running to a destination to the east. Today, all in service passengers trains call here and at all other stations around it on the line, with the first station that is sometimes skipped several stations and miles to the west; however, mysteriously, this was not true in the mid 90s, when some peak services ran fast. For some bizarre reason, this station is a Category F station, in spite of being staffed full-time.

Both of those still have services running fast through them (including my favourite c2c journey, the 1730 ex FST in BSO's case).

But, it is a Southend area station. Read the clue carefully, and study the Categories if you have access to them - and then place your bets.

P.S.: If you're wondering, I had a siesta

Not the station whose TLC matches my initials. As shown, it is outside the M25, on either the c2c or Shenfield to Southend lines, but not the Crouch Valley route.

Sorry. It's on the c2c line, and it's somewhere east of Pitsea (again!).

That thing about the TLC wasn't a clue; it referred to South Woodham Ferrers.

I don't mean to be rude, but unless you refer to the line immediately above this, I don't see what isn't sensible about my clues? Sorry...

Your first clue:

Until this year, every passenger train stopped at this station. Currently a few services pass through nonstop; this was also true for a while in 2008–9.
