Certainly, although you seem to equate enjoying your job with being stress free. I have enjoyed all of my jobs with several of them being very stressful.
I, and many others I know, are not saying our jobs are stress-free, but that overall we feel a lot less stressed now than we felt at Uni.

You can disagree with the OP as much as you like, but it is a fact that many people do find Uni to be more stressful than the world of work. And yes, that includes people with very responsible jobs.

Therefore, the OP makes a very valid point and those who insist that it is always the case that the real world of work is more stressful than Uni , for everyone, are wrong, and that is what I am disagreeing with, very strongly.

I agree with this, though I would point out you do not need to be good at sport. I run some sports activities for some young people who are not particularly good at sport and their enthusiasm is great.

That's very refreshing. I can run quite well and bowl a good over, but when I play sports (it's usually football) it's generally because of the fun of doing it. And you don't need to be good at sport, especially if you're good at other things ;)

I've only ever been good at rugby, but always participated in other sports for the fun of it.

I'm awful at football, cricket, basketball, volleyball and bowling, yet regularly participate in those activities on a social level really just for a laugh. The level I play at is beach games through employers, or in the fields with a few mates.

Hi JDi,

Stress is an increasingly common issue amongst University students in general, with one of the biggest issues being that many people don't accept it, or talk about it.

If (as Yorkie has suggested) you're in Durham, please don't hesitate to drop me a message if you'd like to chat over a cup of coffee or similar, as I'm based in Durham too, and am always willing to chat / listen.

Hope you feel better soon,

mildertduck

Stress can be tough - I've been off work for three months with it. I've turned the corner thanks to help from family and friends. My counseller advised to take one thing and one day at a time. I find this helps as I now don't worry about what might happens. As others have said it's good to talk about it. Things will get better I'm sure
