Hi, unfortunately it looks like I will be unable to return to my role on the railway and will be PMRd next year, I've been told there is a BR calculator that is used to work out how much severance pay that could be offered. Anyone have any useful information for me ?

Sorry to hear that, thank goodness you’re in an industry which by and large looks after those who become unfit to work really rather well.

I would suggest a union rep as your best port of call?

I would suggest you contact your union rep and also your pension provider. They will be able to provide more information. I don't think the forum will be able to advise any further as this will be highly dependent on your personal circumstances. Best of luck.
