Probably some sort of contract work, Ilford does quite a bit of that for other TOCs.

I believe some of the 375's that are being refurbished are going to Ilford instead of Derby. See this thread titled "Southeastern Refurbished Class 375"

Thanks, not seen this move happen yet. Perhaps they are looking to complete the refurb early with Derby and Ilford finishing it off between them
