Ilford or Stratford?

Which do people reckon is better for photography in general, and can anyone suggest a good location at either of this stations?

When at Stratford I tend to go to the London end of the island platform served by up/down fast trains (platform 8?)

Platform 9 is the London bound fast platform, Platform 8 is the Country bound slow platform IIRC.

Thanks for your tip Coxster, I'll try thast location out as I've done the country end of Platform 10a before, it was ok but not brilliant.
