Ilford MK3 s

Came past Ilford today looks like the Virgin MK 3 s have gone
Anyone know if they have gone for razor blades or, I hope refurb and servive on GEML

They've been gone for months and months now No Idea where they went, theres only the really old blue wagon/coach thing left (with rainbow like stripes on the end, no other info on it I'm afraid.)

They moved to Long Marston in July (by rail).
Numbers of the coaches are 10206, 11021 and 11074.

Do you know their fate, we need some refurbed MK3 s on GEML . there will be more problems when the new refurb announced last week takes more out of service

I believe they were in a very poor state structurally and just used for spares or training, someone else can probably give more information.

Out of the Mk.3's originally there, the "one" liveried catering one is still at Ilford, just stabled in a different place to before, as where it was for ages is being electrified for crossrail.

At what stage would a carriage that was in a "very poor state strucurally" be prevented from being moved by rail?

From reading previously online maybe on here or another site these carriages are more or less gutted

Most seats have been removed, doors, luggage racks removed etc etc

If it fell to bits on the track whilst moving or could cause a derailment

Different story altogether if passengers were on board though, I doubt these would have been able to be moved
