A Harrier Jump Jet, just where do you buy those from? Aren't they like hundreds of millions of dollars to buy?

I'm sure someone has one on eBay somewhere! Might be fake though, or the seller will want paying by Western Union....

Simple. Buy a 2nd hand one from the RAF when they're replaced in several years time by the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter.

Actually, If I won a serious amount of money I would buy an old Concord aircraft and operate it between Melbourne and London and charge really cheap flights.

Not at all sure how much shorter it would take than on a conventional aircraft, but its got to be much quicker though?

I would love to see a concord again there beautys I can remeber them as a little kid and it would be nice to see one again but sadly there's no chance .

A nice idea, but unfortunately Concorde isn't actually allowed to fly anymore.

Then it would be:

1/ Tell SWT which orifice to put their job.

2/ A country cottage in Exmoor, preferably looking out over the Bristol Channel & Mendips.

3/ Get a pair of each of Cl. 58, 47 & 60 into preservation.

4/ Get the passing loops at Kentsford & Leigh Wood installed, also the section of line between Bishops Lydeard doubled on the WSR & long section of line installed beside the GWML + a platform installed at Silk Mills (Taunton) near the park/ride car park.

5/ Get the line speed of the WSR increased from 25 to 40.

6/ Sit on the rest & live off the interest.

Now I'm going to find those tablets to control my delusional thoughts....

Buy a pair of Class 25's get them done up to main line standard fit extra fuel tanks instead of water tanks and go bashing the network with em,

making sure they were painted in garish colours,

and listen to you lot moan about how good they would look in transrail,toadhaul etc

Turn the Isle of Wight line into a tramway with modern, low-floor trams operating a frequent service. A loop along the seafront from Sandown to Shanklin would also be added
Buy a 455 when they're finally withdrawn, repaint it in NSE livery and find somewhere to run it. Ideally, I'd electrify the Kent & East Sussex Railway at 750v DC and keep it there

Not that i'd ever fit in one....sigh...

The only reason I wanted a Harrier is because they can take off and land vertically, which would be damn useful since if I worked in central London I could land the plane in Hyde Park and avoid standing for 45 mins on the train! (Pigs might fly)

If not, then I'd purchase the SU-27 and play around with that instead. A top speed of mach 1.8 sounds good except I could only go that fast when over open water!

I would probably just bank the lot and live off the interesting knowing I'd probably never have to work. A few thousand pounds worth of electrical devices maybe. But, I'd never tell anyone if I did win big, as I wouldn't want people to think any different of me because of it.
