If all else fails, sacrifice a goat

Just been watching the excellent documentary 'India's Frontier Railways' on BBC4. When Nepal Railway's only loco ZDM 524 broke down they sacrificed a goat to it, and it seemed to work!

I wonder how many goats would be needed to fix the current problems with the 73/9s? Must be worth a try...

Sacrifice of deer is regularly tried with 171s. As yet, no success has been noted.

In India some cows are killed by trains. Just search on Youtube. In Europe it are pigeons that are the victims.

And in Sweden, moose. Those things are big. A very common problem is them getting stuck under the train and between the carriages. Torn brake lines are a major problem.

Hasn't got the desired effect on ICE or Thalys. Maybe the Wallonia cock is needed!
