Idridgehay station

I have seen a document that is essentially a plan of Idridgehay station. One area of the goods yard is shown as requisitioned by the Ministry in 1943, and relinquished in 1949.

Can anyone help with an explanation of the purpose and use of the land requisitioned? I think we might all hazard a guess but I am looking for something more precise.
