And there speaks the non-driver.
I am simply living in the real world. Shock affects people in different ways, but it isn't exclusive to train drivers.
You could have the exact same thing happen in your own car tomorrow. Yes, you might be able to brake easier, or steer away, but you might not. And the same feelings would apply.
It is a psychological thing and all I was saying is that you must try and be strong and get through it. Not everyone will, but if you were so worried about this, you'd not be able to drive a train at all.
The problem is that there's not much you can do about it in the first place - and yet I bet the main thing a driver thinks is how they could have avoided it. At a certain point on a train moving at speed, on rails, there's actually nothing you - as a driver - can do.
