Who thought the day would come when Id find myself in a predicament as well.

Long story short - can northern rail revenue protection find your identity if you dont give them any details, but they've scanned your e ticket with their mobile devices?

They will most likely be able to do that, yes. You've left a big digital footprint of purchase history etc.

By purchase history do you mean other tickets Ive bought using trainline?

Do they do anything with this? Hypothetically could/would they look into a persons previous tickets to see if they were valid etc?

Whats the worst outcome a person has received after a purchase history check?

Assuming hypothetically the purchase history led to a discovery of multiple invalid journeys. Multiple.

Given you've said it's Northern, they're usually happy to take people to court and you get a nice criminal record to boot.

Though you need to start a threat in the correct section of the forum to get correct advice
