Don't 333's have longer carriages than 332s (23m as opposed to 20m)?
And correct me if I'm wrong but Platform Edge Doors within the Crossrail/Lizzie Line tunnels can't align with any other stock being built (sans the 345s).
The Class 332 and Class 333 units have the same bodyshell, it's also shared with the NIR Class 4000 diesel units, and partially with the IE Mark IV coaching stock. The same bodyshell will again be used for the new Northern DMU and EMU units (Class 195 and Class 331).
And yes, platform doors on Crossrail are designed for the Class 345 stock.
