So tonight, I was on MSN minding my own business when suddenly it crashes and my PC goes really slowly, oh I've been added to a big group conversation with RailUK members, fair enough says I and leaves.

I'm added again, and this time I'm getting annoyed and so I tell them all where to go, i've been added a third time and now MSN isn't even responding

For the people who are responsible why do you think it necessary for everyone to be added to the conversation?

I personally don't find it funny I just find it annoying and it's something I could do without.

Thank you.

This is something I find extremely annoying also.

I make it clear that I do not wish to be invited into Joint Conversations, as they crash my MSN and occasionally my entire machine. However, I am still repeatedly added. It only stops when I ban whoever is doing it, (largely one person who I won't name).

Sadly some planks on here do not understand the concept of do not invite me back.

Although I can say that none of these are directly related to RUK, and those who do it do it upon their own accord.

well when you've been working on coursework for two hours and you have to shut your computer down, perhaps you wouldn't find it so hilarious?

Even if it wasn't saved and you'd have to do that 2 hours work all over again?

I hate it when that happens too. It's horribly annoying. I've had to disband any other conversations, sign out of MSN for a while and back in again, hoping that I wouldn't be invited back in. Then I do, so the process is repeated...

I've had PC crashes and MSN crashes happen my end too many times.

Since the last lot of times I have withdrawn use of my other MSN account, my new one is for invited people only. If you're not on it, then there's a good reason. Less of the annoying veg and kids to speak to.

Loss of data - I'm sorry but to be brutally frank, 2 hours without saving? CTRL+S every 10 minutes At The Most!

However this is a stupid thing that people are doing and I have blocked several people because of it. PLEASE STOP IT - NOW.

It's not just John Lewis who adds loads of people at random.

I could name a couple of people, but seeing as I'm a nice person, I'm not going to bother.....

In future, please leave me out of these random conversations.

Apparently if you disconnect yourself from the internet, the person who's remaining in the conversation is the one who invited you in.

Not sure if it's true though or just a coincidence.

Convos with more than about 5 people in are pointless, because MSN runs incredibly slow and can't cope. If people want 5+ people in a convo, they should use something decent like IRC!

I think you'll find that other RUK members are also 'victims' here.

If you insult people who are also victims of this, they may not be too happy.

The huge convos that are created are done deliberately to annoy, and have no purpose.

One of the alleged culprits has already been named on here, and there are one or two other culprits who are not on this forum (at least, not any more). But no, I won't name them here, but here's a clue: Simple-minded, thick, idiotic. That's the sort of people who do it.

Can I just say,

I have NEVER started a giant conversation, I just get invited but the find it funny when people saying don invite me back then someone invites them back...

To be honest, this is incredibly sad...

Although we can't really do anything Luke, we can ask that people stop creating this stupid conversations and adding people into them, even when they ask for you not to! I find it really annoying as well, especially when it crashes msn, and I'm sure the culprits would find it annoying if it happened to them. What's more, as I said before, it's just sad to be honest, and the people involved really need to find something better to be doing with their time!

It's a pain when numbers go sky high.

The other day, whilst having something important open I was added and it ended up killing MSN so i process killed it and then the computer went boom.

Thanks

Then why, Julian, do you invite me??

Once Julian has added five and Jon has added 5 (Using the above example) there is 10... ANY of those 10 could have your email, now I'm not saying its me but what I am saying is, It might not just be Julian....

I KNOW Julian invites me, because I have been in conversations with John and Julian before anyone else was invited. Now, seeing as John isn't on my contact list, that means Julian invites me!

Now, if your suggesting that you invite me once I've blocked Julian after he's invited me, that's a different matter...?!
