4.2.5 might be 4 4 4 5 over 4 weeks, an average of 4.25 day per week.

OK, thanks for t congrats and the advice and info!
The free oyster doesn't benefit me unfortunately as I already have one as my mother is a tube driver.
Would love to know of any other possible benefits though.

Get the chip out of your Oyster card, put it in a childs magic wand, in the tip bit at the end and every time you go through the ticket gate simply tap the round thing with the wand! Hey Presto!! :D :D

There are loads of TfL discounts available which I believe you should be entitled to - just an example, we get discounts on things from Thorpe Park, to iwoot.com and Cineworld/Odeon..

I tried with FCC last year but didn't get through the manager interview. So I've been looking intently since then as I wanted to land a job while my results were still valid.
Joined Hex in August this year as a customer service rep and only did so with the intention of becoming a driver. They are also recruiting at the moment and I've applied for a position with them too.

I just past the first assessment stage with LOROL much to my surprise, the next part is 7 weeks off. Can you tell me how long the whole process took? Also what were the interviews like?
many thanks ... S

I hope your experience will be shorter than mine!

In the structured interview expect a grilling.

You will be asked to go into great detail about experiences you've had that will be marked to see if they tie into what being a train driver involves and whether your the right type of person for the job. You will have to demonstrate working along for long periods and dealing with emergencies to name but a few.

In the interviews try to impress the DM's with your knowledge of the company and also make sure if you get any questions regarding "what would you do if" Make sure safety is at the top of the pile everytime! Good luck.

I didn't do the tests this time around so can't help with the answer to that I'm afraid. As I passed them last year with FCC I didn't have to repeat them.

Interviews weren't a walk in the park but then I don't find interviews that easy, maybe you're more comfortable with them. They were faily long and quite intense. Lots of detail needed, particularly with regard to the role you played in certain situations.

Fantastic! I had my 2nd Assesments day last Friday (11th Dec) for LOROL, passed everything and waiting for the call to tell me when my interview with the line manager will be. How long was your wait and should I call them if I haven't heard by this Friday?

I am so excited and want this so badly that the waiting is killing me.

Thanks
