I found some memorabilia!

Hello guys,
I got directed here from GWR.

My grandad recently passed away and upon clearing his house we found an incredible coat, on the buttons are the railway logo.

I wondered if anyone could explain a little about the coat for me? We wondered where he got it from? He did work on the railway but only when he was younger and used to shovel the coal.

My great uncle however was a driver up until he retirment so we think it may have been a gift from him.

Is there anything you could tell me about it, photos attached.

I can't tell you much about the coat except, with that logo on the buttons, it would be late 60s at the very earliest, probably 1970s or 80s.
