In early October, I started working for a coffee shop within a large suburban train station.

Today, I found out I'd been successful in becoming a station retailer with Merseyrail! I am, quite literally, over the moon.

Don't suppose anybody else out there happened to get one of the other positions? (long shot i know!)

Congratulations Chris and welcome to the railway.
Don't go showing red cards to customers though...

Well done X on your new job.

It would be interesting to know what you cover in training (maybe a blog or a post on the forum if your employer allows) so we can really see if it's as bad as everyone thinks. I am sure you will probably learn more from here (about the actual rules behind it rather than use of the software) than you will there! ;)

Congrats - you in LPY or LVC? I'll keep an eye out for you when passing through, although I've never seen you when passing through LPY! Mind you, the unsociable hours mean Hamiltons is usually closed or just opening!

Do you have cappuccinos in the morning? Or is that someone else?

I'm what they call "roll out", so I could be in LVC one day, SOP the day after that, then ELP all weekend!

Someone else I'm afraid; I think I've only ever bought two drinks from the LPY Hamiltons, and they weren't cappuccino!

Good stuff - I'll keep an eye out for you!

There's somebody who comes in most mornings and looks quite stereotypical of our traditional forum member :P

Mojo, I shall certainly inform you about the training!
