Just for a bit of fun, I hope this makes sense... if you could redistribute one preserved locomotive (diesel or steam) from its current home to a different heritage railway, what would you move and to where?
For example, would you choose to move 34105 Swanage to its namesake railway? Maybe you think that SR S15 no. 825 would be better suited to life at the KESR so that line has a genuine Southern railway tender locomotive? Or that 92203 belongs on the Middeton Railway dragging round a pair of 5-plank wagons?
We all know 45015 should be displayed on the turntable in the Great Hall at the NRM so let's skip past that one!
