Thanks
Barry

i would have thought that they would have gone onto the southern on cross london freights to hither green ect,as i saw them cross london to temple mills in the 70s so would have thought they would have gone to other london yards.

Thr reason for the question is that I am enbarking on a 5" gauge model of a Hymek (my favourite diesel) and i'm in deepest Kent so was hoping to make it relevent by creating a model of one which actually worked in Kent even if only briefly.
Galvanize has actually fullfilled all my requirements, a lovely loco and I was aware of this and other miniature Hymeks like the one at Faversham Miniature Railway but I was looking for a full size prototype to base my model on. I haven't found anything on the internet but if anyone can provide some detail that would identify which particular Hymek would have worked in Kent i'd be very grateful.
Keep up the good work at the SNBR though and if you want to see a slightly larger miniature deisel hymek theres one on my site at
