Heading south down the M6 near Preston this morning, a new Enviro200 with large roof tank, presumably hydrogen storage. I've not seen one of these before is it something new? Fuel cell or a real engine?
It was painted in London Red, didn't see any fleet markings

I didn't know Alexander had actually started building using the BYD electric kit.
Begs the question: could it do that trip on one charge? Or where can you plug in a bus for a recharge on the M6/M1??

I tried to find something official on the ADL website, but their brochure doesn't say what the range is. Perhaps I missed it in the small print.

Route one suggests:
The range under typical operating conditions (to UITP SORT 2 test conditions - drivers air conditioning on) is 179 miles with a recharge time of just 3.5 hours. Other battery power outputs and performance parameters will be available.

There are some in London already. All it will need along the way is just a portable charge point. They will go into the nearest Stagecoach depot along the way and plug in.

Given Alexander Dennis and Stagecoach have a very close relationship I imagine there is an agreement in place for deliveries

Not forgetting that Stagecoach has a joint venture with Metroline's parent company in Scottish Citylink.
