Hull Trains Fleet

Now Hull Trains are rid of 222101 and 222102 what does their fleet consist of?
Only 222104, 180109 and 180110 are serviceable so what is their back-up

Note: I noticed on locoscene that they used 180104 again this weekend.

With the 2 180s due out very soon (ie by yesterday) from refurb, things should be looking up for them.

EMT does not have enough Meridians to run the Corby services. Apparently they thought the Hull Trains 222s were up for grabs when they bid for the franchise. Turns out they wasn't. Special words were had by some minister and the head of first group and they agreed the release the 222s.

Gotta feel sorry for Hull Trains and their passengers, unless the Adelantes have been refurb'ed VERY nicely, they'll be taking a step back in terms of comfort and reliability.

Indeed, spotted this stabled at Hull this morning! Was being prepared to work the 1212 to London. Meanwhile, this evening's 1830 off Hull was being worked by the one remaining 222.

Gotta feel sorry for Hull Trains and their passengers, unless the Adelantes have been refurb'ed VERY nicely, they'll be taking a step back in terms of comfort and reliability.

I actually think the 180s are very comfortable and they offer more capacity.

Reliability is the problem though. Hull Trains 222s were some of the most reliable trains on the network before the fall of 222103. They won two golden spanners. Maybe thats why they are having 5 180s!

Anyone would think they were forced to give up their Pioneers to EMT!

ive heard that they will be refurbed HEAVLY im not sure what there doing but its going to be different from when they were FGW 180`s

I'm fairly sure the refurb won't be to such a thorough standard. The standard class seats as it stands are very comfortable and there is no need for more seats as there is a whole extra carriage. I would imagine its a case of fitting a kitcken and some additional First Class seating.

Hi all I'm new (but been viewing for a while)

Does anyone know when the first 180 is due to be out of refurbishment for First Hull Trains and how extensively they will of been refurbished (will they put new seats in etc.?

Also has Grand Central (and soon Grand Northern/ Union) officially got their 180s yet and will they be refurbished? If you ask me picking units that are known to cause technical problems, especially if they're planning to refurbish them, could be repeating the past for them

Well - apparently the deal has been signed, but nothing "official" is yet to emerge to back this up.

The HT 180s were due out at the end of January, but no news from there yet. The refurbishment includes kitchen for FC, shop upgraded for SC, at seat audio throughout, new look inside according to fHT spec and many more features that are not yet disclosed, that according to fHT will make them better than the Pioneers that they're replacing.
